Like a Good Neighbor, who's moving

Buh-Bye State Farm! Don't let Florida hit you in the ass on the way out. And take your other business with you. If you're not man enough to stand up to Florida's weather, you don't qualify for getting our car insurance, either!

But that's just my opinion . . .

Husband and I were figuring last night over the years we have sent State Farm close to 300,000 as we have all of our coverage through them and have had since husband started to drive at 15. We made one claim with them for a leak in our pipes and they did not claim it so we have gotten NOTHING back for that 300,000. How can they say they have never made any money in Florida when you multiply it out by so many other people like us? This has motivated us to get off duffs and find another carrier and then, we are going to have a great deal of fun canceling State Farm before they can cancel us.

AMEN!! Isn't insurance supposed to be a SHARED risk? We pay and pay and pay, assuming all the risk on our end, and then they have to pay out ONE year in the midst of record profits, and suddenly it's too risky for them?! Sounds like all the big businesses who took record profits and huge pay/bonuses for the CEO and then OOPS--going bankrupt and taking everyone else with us. Bleah!
